N6a Aircraft - This pulldown menu, in addition to each year available as a search limiter, also shows the number of photos currently in the database for each specific year, enclosed in brackets. For example, an option of:- 2003 [55000].. indicates that there are 55,000 total photos taken in the year 2003 currently in the database.*Note: The total number of photos, enclosed in brackets, is updated four (4)
times hourly, and may be slightly inaccurate. Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. I will describe each auction to the best of my knowledge and take as many photos as necessary to ensure you are pleased upon receiving your item.

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase. The N-6 was most widely used in Martin and Bendix upper turrets, B-24 turrets (nose and tail), B-17 chin turrets and on the remote control sighting station of the P-61 night fighter.

Adapter rings were also available for fitment of either A-1 or A-2 tilting heads for use as a fixed gunnery gunsight on attack and light bomber plane(c), but if these combinations were ever used operationally is unclear.
If you are looking for photos of a specific aircraft type, use this menu. Please note that, due to space constraints, this menu includes only some of the more requested aircraft in our database. If the aircraft you're searching for is not in this list, use the 'Keywords' field further down in the search menus.
All pictures and descriptions used in my auctions are under COPYRIGHT and I forbid the use of these photos and information in any manner such as paper or electronic (internet) publications or otherwise. Use is solely based on my authorization only.
Selecting 'Boeing 747,' for example, will show results featuring all Boeing 747 jetliners in our database, while selecting '- Boeing 747-200' will show all Boeing 747-200 variants in our database (Boeing 747-200, Boeing 747- 212B, Boeing 747-283F, etc.)
You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a NEW OLD STOCK WW2 USAAF N-6A Reflector Gun Sight! This gunsight was used specifically in Turret Gunner positions of various bomber aircraft, such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator, but was also used occasionally in fixed positions.
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period.
As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft. Please note that, due to space constraints, this menu includes only airlines of which 10 or more photos exist in our database.
If the airline you're searching for is not in this list, use the 'Keywords' field further down in the search menu. The Keywords field is ideal for searching for such specifics as aircraft registrations, photographers' names, specific airport/city names, specific paint schemes (i.e. 'Wunala Dreaming'), etc. To use the Keywords field, begin by selecting a Keyworld search field.
You may select either a specific database field (airline, aircraft, etc.), or choose to match your keyword to all database fields. Additionally, decade ranges (1990-1999, etc.) are available as selections in this menu. Selecting a decade range will show all photos matching your other search criteria from the selected decade. The 'All Years' selection is the default selection for this option.
All countries represented in our database are included in this selection menu, which is updated automatically as the database grows. There must be at least 20 photos from a specific airport in the database before that airport is added to this list.
The 'Keywords' field is perhaps the most useful field included in our search engine. Using this field, you may search for any word, term, or combinations of terms in our database. Every photo field is covered by the Keywords search routine.

My goal is to ship within 7 days from auction end. However, depending on circumstances, it may take up to an additional 1 week from receipt of confirmed payment. If you need it shipped sooner, please let me know and I will do our best to accommodate.

Made by EA Laboratories, the N-6A reflector sight, was the first of the N-series to be specifically designed for flexible gunnery for use in turrets not equipped with compensated sights. AAF Material Command also requested the N-6 to replace the old iron sights on all other gun positions in medium and heavy bombers (but most period photos clearly show it didn't happen).
The sight and optical system, also very similar to those of the N-3, were more compact. Also, it was equipped with: Aviapages lets you charter, buy or sell private jets, book business aviation related services: FBOs, dealers, brokers.
Buy or sell aircraft, order flight support, handling or catering. Made of aluminum, steel, and glass, and dating around 1941, this is an AMAZING NOS example. Although there are some light scratches and wear from storage, it retains 98% of its original finish!
All the glass is original to this sight, and includes a flip up sun shield so that the pilot could see easier when flying in brighter light. NUMEROUS inspection stamps throughout! The data plate is 98% intact, and clearly indicates the model and type.
A bit of dust and dirt from storage, but that can easily be rectified by the winning bidder. I have shown its location in the last photos. Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!
